Second Look Space
Second Look Space is a small YouTube channel of short, vertical science videos. Each one takes a space story that went by quickly and looks at it a second time, using the original data.
What this tool is
This site belongs to the tool that prepares those videos and uploads them to the channel. It is a personal tool, run by one person for one set of channels. It is not a service for the public and it has no sign-up. Only its owner can connect a YouTube channel to it.
What it does with YouTube
- Uploads finished videos to the owner's own channel, after the owner has approved each one.
- Reads the channel's own videos and its own statistics, so the owner can see what worked.
- Never posts, changes or deletes anything the owner has not approved first.
The details are in the privacy policy: which data is read, why, how long it is kept, and how to remove the tool's access at any time.
Where the pictures come from
Footage comes from NASA's public-domain visualizations and from openly licensed images whose credit is shown on screen. Every fact in a video is quoted from a source page and checked before the video is made. NASA does not endorse these videos.
